Diet - as in food that I eat - not in it's negative context of restriction of food.

I'm a pseudo vegetarian - I actually like meat a lot, but for the last few years I actually only eat it for one big meal a week. Philosophically, I see no reason not to eat meat, although if I think about the animal part too much I get nauseous. I have a problem with anything that looks too much like an animal, so I've never cooked a chicken myself. I prefer burgers, all ground up it - I can pretend it grew on a tree. I do think one should avoid things like salami which is probably carcinogenic. I do eat fish at least once a week.

I used to eat a lot of health "fake" food. I practically lived on Yves pseudo meat products. My trainer pointed out how dependant I was on them. I also used to eat only two or three meals a day - now it's five or six.

I've increased the amount of carbs, and added more whole wheat products. I wasn't consciously avoiding them, and I've always though the Atkins plan was a bunch of nonsense, it just appears that my intake was too low. I'm paying more attention to glycemic index. So whole wheat bread is up, and potatoes and rice is down.

My cheese intake was way out of line. On some days fat portion of my diet was up to 50%. That was the hardest thing to drop. IN the summer I also drink a lot of milk, I've never been sure of the seasonal connection. As the weather warms up, I think I'll have a problem.

Candy was not a problem, however chocolate was a major drug addiction. I could easily cram down two very large bars. I would regret it twenty minutes later, when my head started spinning.
